Pactola Reflection

Early on they built the Rockerville Flume (1880) to funnel water to thirsty gold mining in the Black Hills.

Sheridan Lake was built in 1939 to feed an ever-increasing population.

The Pactola Reservoir came into being in the early 1950s. At it's maximum it adds 32 BILLION gallons of water, via Rapid Creek, to quench the thirst of what has become one of the fastest growing cities in the mid-west.

I am grateful for these resources and blessed to be able to witness their beauty and the majesty of God's hand at work.

What I have come to recognize, in their presence, is my growing need for living water.

"All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!" John 7:37 TPT
